CHARITY workers are celebrating after one of their outlets enjoyed a record fund-raising month.
The Northallerton Committee of Yorkshire Cancer Research raised £2,000 last month from their shop in the town.
The charity’s head of community fund-raising, Sally Crerar, said: “The support we have received from the people of Northallerton has been fantastic.”
The store on Romanby Road is currently open Monday to Wednesday and Friday and Saturday and the committee now wants to increase their income by opening on a Thursday.
And members are now calling for any volunteers that have some spare time and would like to help Yorkshire Cancer Research.
For further details or to volunteer to work in the shop contact Mary Herring on (01609) 776309.
