A passing out parade for young firefighters from Northallerton is being held on July 19 at 7pm.
Northallerton fire station has been running a Young Firefighters Scheme for more than seven years. It is designed to teach the youngsters all about the skills and principles of the fire and rescue service.
The current cadets, all aged between 14 and 18, have spent the last two years working towards a BTEC Level 2 - equivalent to 2 GCSEs.
*Anyone aged between 14 and 15 who would like to join the Young Firefighters Scheme at Northallerton should contact Jim Thorpe or Alistair James on 01609-751010 for more information.
