SHOPPERS will this weekend be asked to help support the UK’s injured servicemen and women.
Supermarket chain Tesco is holding collections at 830 of its stores nationwide on Friday and Saturday, to raise funds for military charity Help for Heroes.
Rob Laidler, from Northallerton, has volunteered to help fundraise at the town’s Tesco store.
He is calling on members of the public to support the event and is asking for collectors to volunteer to join him outside the store to help raise as much as possible.
Mr Laidler said: "Our injured servicemen and women need help getting back to everyday life.
"Help for Heroes do this in a number of ways, which is why they need people to donate money."
