GOLF DAY: The Hambleton and Richmondshire Multiple Sclerosis Society is holding its tenth annual charity golf day, on Monday, July 25, at Romanby Golf Club. The entry fee is £180 for teams of four, which includes a bacon butty and a two-course meal. There is over £1,000 worth of prizes to be won, as well a raffle, tombola and an auction. OPEN GARDENS: Open garden events will be held at Cleaves House, in Thirlby, near Thirsk, on July 5 and 6. The two-acre garden will be open from 6pm to 9pm on July 5 and from 11am to 5pm on July 6. FULL BLOOM: Eleven gardens, of various types and sizes, will be open to the public in Sessay, near Thirsk, on Sunday, July 10, from 1.50pm to 5.30pm. Attractions include teas in the village hall. Admission costs £3, children go free. There will be ample parking.
