JAZZ NIGHT: The New Life Baptist Church, in Northallerton, will host jazz band New Orleans Heat, tomorrow at 7.30pm.
All proceeds from the evening will go to Christian Aid.
Tickets are £8 and are available from Greensleeves music shop, in Northallerton, or from the church.
AFRICAN DANCE: African music act the Atongo Zimba Trio will perform their mix of traditional Ghanaian songs and pop, electro and funk influences at the Georgian Theatre Royal, in Richmond.
The performance will take place at 7.30pm on Wednesday.

FUNDS RAISED: The Friarage Hospital’s Breast Cancer Support Group raised more than £200 at the Northallerton Rotary Club Charity Spring Fayre.
Volunteers Mollie Barker, Val Wilson, Lillian Barnborough and Sheila Simpson held a pink stall to help raise funds and awareness of breast cancer at the event at Northallerton Town Hall.
The money raised will be used to support cancer sufferers in need of financial help and go towards buying equipment for the hospital.

DUTCH MASTER: An afternoon course looking at the life and work of the Dutch artist Johannes Vermeer will be held at The Station, in Richmond, on Monday.
Led by Dr Chris Joby the session, between 2pm and 4pm, costs £10 per person. Tickets must be booked in advance by calling 07971-268631 or email c.r.joby@leedsmet.ac.uk OPEN GARDENS: The annual Richmond open gardens event will be held on Sunday with a programme and list of gardens available from the tourist information centre or The Station, for £4.
About 20 private gardens will be open to the public between 1pm and 6pm, including the entries for the town’s best kept gardens competition.
There will also be a plant sale at The Station.
