TWO large goods vehicles and a car collided on the A1 this morning.
The accident happened on the northbound carriageway just south of the Scotch Corner junction at about 11am.
The fire brigade were called to the scene at 11.14am, and fire engines from Colburn, Bedale, Ripon and Darlington went to the site.
However, the fire service said no people were trapped in their vehicles so firefighters made the car safe and retrieved it from a field before leaving the site of the crash at 11.38am.
