CHANGES are on the way for cabbies and taxi operators in the Hambleton district on North Yorkshire.
A number of alterations are planned and the district’s taxi drivers are now being invited to have their say about them.
The main changes include increasing the 65-yer age limit for annual medical checks to 70 and making a CRB disclosure standard for all operators.
All vehicles will also be required to have a meter and the location and operation of hackney carriage stands is go be reviewed.
Questionnaires can be completed on line at Hambleton.gov.uk/hdctaxi or at one of the council offices in Northallerton, Stokesley and Easingwold.
Completed questionnaires should be returned by June 10.
