FAMILIES will be celebrating the opening of a bigger and better children’s centre in Northallerton later this month.
A nursery rhyme fun event is to be held at the centre - based at the Alverton Infant and Nursery School site on Mount Road - on June 11 between 10.30am and 1.30pm.
The centre, which opened in 2008, has been expanded to cope with its popularity with families from the town and surrounding villages.
A number of free activities and competitions including a puppet show, music, a bouncy castle and face painting are being offered to families at the centre on the fun day.
