A POPULAR tearoom has been transformed into a gallery - with the help of one of the country’s leading landscape photographers.
Joe Cornish, famous for views of his adopted North Yorkshire, has loaned more than a dozen prints to adorn the walls of the upstairs tearooms at Lewis and Cooper, in Northallerton.
"It's like having a gallery away from home," said Mr Cornish, who has a gallery of his own in the town's Zetland Street.
As well as supplying art for the tearoom's walls, Mr Cornish will talk at a sell-out lunch club event at the store later this month.
Tearoom manager Samantha Booth said: "A lot of people have commented on the lovely pictures and asked where the gallery is, so it's been nice to point them in the direction of a fellow independent Northallerton business.”
She added: "The tickets to Joe's May Lunch Club sold out within a week, but he has kindly agreed to come back on September 22 for a repeat performance."
