POLICE have turned to the public for help after burglars targeted a village home in the Ryedale area.
The thieves broke into a house in Barton-le-Willows, near Malton, in a daylight raid last Monday, sometime between 8am and 4pm.
They stole jewellery including an oval faced wristwatch with a gold strap, a Raine and Wheel wristwatch with a black leather strap, a collection of costume jewellery, a gold necklace with a three stone drop, a silver necklace with an S shaped pendant decorated with black and white stones, an antique silver bracelet and a leather jewellery box.
The thieves also stole a turquoise pillow case, possibly to carry their loot in..
Detective Constable Adam Normanton said: "I am appealing to anyone who saw any suspicious activity in the area to come forward as a I need to speak to them.
