A NUMBER of roads through an historic estate popular with tourists are to be closed for essential maintenance.
Estate roads to Fountains Abbey & Studley Royal, near Ripon, will be closed between Monday and Wednesday, May 18, to repair winter damage.
Signage will be in place to direct visitors along alternative routes to the World Heritage Site.
The Fountains Abbey & Studley Royal Estate will remain open daily between 10am and 5pm.
