FREE ‘flu jabs are now being offered across North Yorkshire to those most at risk from the illness - and this year the swine ‘flu vaccine is contained within the vaccination.
The jab is available from GPs to those aged 65 are over or who have serious medical conditions such as heart disease, diabetes, asthma and multiple sclerosis among others.
They are also available for those who work with poultry or who are the main carer for an elderly or disabled person whose welfare could be put at risk.
This year, for the first time, all pregnant women are also being offered the seasonal flu vaccination as a matter of course.
