THE artistic talents of great-grandmother Margaret McKay are being showcased at the Civic Centre in Northallerton.
The 76-year-old has been painting for 40 years - and her first paintings of roses and a cat are now on display al0ng with her latest landscape scenes and paintings of Indians
After her children grew up Mrs McKay also took up china painting - and at the age of 72 began attending watercolour classes.
Hambleton District Council’s arts development officer Kate Staines said: "We are always delighted when a local artist asks to display their work at the council offices.
"It not only gives them a chance to exhibit to a wider audience but it brightens up everyone’s visit to the Civic Centre."
