A PENSIONER died after a three vehicle crash in the region which closed a main road for six hours.
The 81-year-old woman, from the Leeds area, West Yorkshire, died after her blue Honda was in a collision on the A658 Harrogate to Knaresborough road.
The crash took place in North Yorkshire around 5.45pm on Thursday, March 4 at the junction with Thistle Hill.
The Honda was leaving the junction when it was in a collision with a white Ford Escort van that was travelling from Harrogate.
The van was then in a collision with a black Toyota heading the other way.
The van driver a 39-year-old, from the Thirsk area, suffered minor injuries and the 48-year-old female driver of the Toyota, from the Harrogate area, was uninjured.
