A PIPER marked Burns Night and Robert Burns 251 birthday by playing to customers outside a high street store.
Former Black Watch piper Colin Thomson played outside Lewis and Cooper, in Northallerton, North Yorkshire, on Saturday, January 23.
The music lasted between 10am and 2pm and customers were tempted in to try the haggis, tatties and neeps in the run up to Burn’s Night on January 25.
Danny Cameron, the store’s award winning drinks consultant, in full regalia read Burns’ traditional address to the haggis.
Mr Cameron said: "The run-up to Burns Night is a great excuse to sing the praises of the humble haggis and fine whiskies.
"The piper did a great job in drawing in the customers and it was a great day and a success all round."
