A NORTH Yorkshire hotel which has played host to world leaders has been named as among the best in the world.
Guests at Rudding Park, near Harrogate, in the past have included former US President Bill Clinton, ex-Soviet leader Mikhail Gorbachev and Archbishop Desmond Tutu.
It has been ranked the sixth-best luxury hotel in the world in the annual TripAdvisor Travellers’ Choice awards, based on online reviews and opinions from travellers around the globe.
It is the second year running that Rudding Park has been recognised in the awards.
Set in 1,200 acres, including an 18-hole golf course with six-hole short course and holiday chalets, the hotel also boasts a renowned restaurant and 15 conference and banqueting rooms.
The award for the best luxury hotel in the world went to the Aria Hotel, in Prague.
