A 28-year-old man is due in court this morning charged with two robberies, assault with intent to commit robbery and possession of a taser-like weapon.
The first robbery happened in Shipton Street, York, at about 2am yesterday.
The 31-year-old male victim received bruises to his arm, wrist and face in the attack carried out by two men. He was treated at York District Hospital.
At about 3.45am yesterday, another robbery occurred in the city's Burton Stone Lane.
The 41-year-old male victim was attacked by two men but managed to run away. He also suffered arm and facial injuries.
Police later arrested two men in connection with both incidents.
The 28-year-old man was charged on Sunday evening and a 32-year-old man remains in police custody for further questioning.
