HELP is at hand for people across North Yorkshire who have become victims of domestic violence.
Some families living in the Hambleton and Richmondshire areas may have experienced domestic abuse over the Christmas period - when the stresses and strains of the festive season can see an increase in the number of such incidents.
A spokesman for the areas’ community safety partnerships said: "Domestic abuse can happen to anyone, in all kinds of relationships, for any reason, including threats, harassment, physical attacks, financial control and emotional abuse.
"Anyone living with domestic abuse is urged to speak out, get the help they deserve and make a fresh start for themselves and their children this year."
