PRE-SCHOOL children have gathered to celebrate the opening of a new outdoor play area at their nursery.
The Dales Nursery, in Catterick Garrison, has transformed its outside play space after receiving a grant of almost £10,000 from North Yorkshire County Council.
The play area was officially opened Colonel Nick Millen, the Commander for Catterick Garrison.
The nursery used its grant to install soft flooring, gazebos, role play equipment and sand and water trays.
Setting Supervisor, Sandra Gillan said: "This funding will allow us to develop our outdoor area, giving the children greater opportunity to express themselves whilst experiencing outdoor provision. This will allow us to meet the needs of each individual child at Dales Nursery."
