HELP and advice is on the way for people with sight problems in the Dales.
Action for Blind People’s mobile sight loss information service will be visiting Hawes, Leyburn, Colburn, Catterick Garrison and Richmond during November.
Packed with the latest aids, equipment and specialist advice for blind and partially sighted people it is visiting invitation of the library service.
The mobile service carries the latest technology and gadgets to improve daily life -- from vibrating bank note detectors to talking microwaves and tin lids.
Spokesman Neal Atkinson said: "Everybody is welcome to come along to visit us on the mobile.
"Whether you are visually impaired or know somebody who may be having problems with their sight, please pay us a visit and pick up information or ask us questions.
"Visitors can try out a wide range of daily living aids or the latest computer and magnification technology."
On November 17 the mobile service will be at the Dales Countryside Museum in Hawes from 10am to noon and then by Leyburn war memorial between 2pm and 4pm.
On November 18 it will be in Colburn library car-park from 10am to noon and then at the library on Gough Road, Catterick Garrison, from 2pm to 4pm.
On November 19 it will be at the Co-op car-park on Queen’s Road, Richmond, from 10am to 4pm.
