OLDER people can get advice on managing their money when a popular series of roadshows returns held this month.

The events will offer advice to people aged over 50 on matters such as debt management, savings and making the most of their money, as well as information on health and well-being.

They will be held at Stokesley Library, on Tuesday, November 17, and at Thirsk Library, on Wednesday, November 25, between 10am and 2pm.

Entrance is free.

A similar series of events had been held across the county earlier this year.

The events are being jointly organised by North Yorkshire County Council’s library services department and the Citizen’s Advice Bureau (CAB).

Councillor Chris Metcalfe, executive member for library and information services, said: "These roadshows proved very popular with the over-50s when we ran them earlier this year.

"We are delighted, this time, to launch the partnership between county council and CAB to provide advice through libraries, which will give people access to much-needed information."
