A COMEDY writer behind hit TV shows like The Fall and Rise of Reginald Perrin is to head-line the Masham Arts Festival.
Local writer David Nobbs is to open the festival which runs from October 23-31 when he will speak about his life as a humourist and work on That Was the Week That Was.
There is a series of fun filled events for all ages lined up by the organisers with tickets on sale now.
Overseas artists Annette Raff, a watercolour and life drawing artist from Australia Biffe Fantoni, a sculptor and painter from Tuscany, are to exhibit.
They will show off work at the newly created International Art House and encourage people to try their hand at art.
The International Art House is based in Morton House, which is owned by Michelle Reid and her husband Columb.
She said: "To be an integral part of bringing an international element to the Masham Arts Festival is a great honour for us.
"Both Biffe and Annette are incredibly talented artists and will not only be showing off their own skills but encouraging others to participate in the arts."
There is the Masham Mind Quiz and Peace Artists the Bradford street band will perform.
Locals show off their special abilities in Masham’s Got Talent which has all types of entertainment on offer.
The International Art House will also be the base for Italian cookery demonstrations with Marina Del Francia, of Italy.
There is also the Harrogate band, the Birdman Rallies, and the mechanical monster The Eel will be in the Market Place.
