A NORTH Yorkshire meat company has won a prestigious business award.
Yorkshire Dales Meat, based in Bedale, won Producer of the Year at the annual International Business Forum Awards in Scarborough.
The awards were sponsored by Deliciously Yorkshire and presented by Jonathan Knight, chief executive of the Regional Food Group. Yorkshire Dales Meat has also been shortlisted in two categories for the Deliciously Yorkshire Best Regional Food and Drink - both of which they won last year.
Stephen Knox, managing director of the family-run business, said: "We are all delighted with the nominations, and we are hoping we can do as well as last year and come away as winner of one of the categories."
