A HOSPICE that provides support for families across a swathe of North Yorkshire is encouraging people to sign up for its annual Santa Dash.
Saint Catherine’s has launched a special version of its much-loved event, taking into account the current Covid restrictions.
In previous years, hundreds of supporters have gathered in December to take part in a 5K or 10K run in aid of the charity.
However, with safety in mind and in accordance with Covid guidelines, this year Saint Catherine’s is asking people to take part in their own Santa Dash, in smaller groups of friends or family, on any day this December.
Participants can choose the traditional distances of 5K or 10K, or pick their own, covering a route of their choice.
Susan Stephenson of Saint Catherine’s, said: “We have had brilliant support in the past with our Santa Dash and we hope that people will join us this December to have fun and raise much-needed funds.
"This year is different as we can’t all get together, but we will still be together in spirit."
To register for free, visit saintcatherines.org.uk/event/santa-dash-2020/ and £5 Santa suits are available on the homepage.
