A VERY British row has erupted after Yorkshire Tea advised a social media user not to buy their tea when she applauded them for not backing US protestors and Black Lives Matter.
The famous brand, produced in North Yorkshire by Taylors of Harrogate, responded to Laura on Twitter who said she was chuffed they hadn't supported BLM. They said: "Please don’t buy our tea again. We’re taking some time to educate ourselves and plan proper action before we post. We stand against racism."
To add to the row PG Tips, owned by Unilever, soon joined the conversation, PG Tips and Yorkshire Tea are the country's second and third most popular brews
PG Tips said on twitter: "If you are boycotting teas that stand against racism, you’re going to have to find two new tea brands now. #blacklivesmatter #solidaritea."
