A FELL rescue group has been given a refreshing boost by a brewery.
Members of Swaledale Mountain Rescue Team gathered at The Farmers Arms in Muker to receive a donation of £1,706 from the Yorkshire Dales Brewery.
Over the summer, mountain rescue branded bottles of Yorkshire Dales Brewery’s Butter Tubs beer were sold, with 10p from every pint or bottle being donated to the ream.
Numerous Dales pubs, cafes and retailers joined in the campaign to promote and sell the beer.
Jill Armstrong, from Swaledale Mountain Rescue Team, said: “People liked this novel way of raising money for us and we were delighted that so many local places got involved in selling it.
"We’d like to thank Yorkshire Dales Brewery for their generosity in doing this and also thank the many people who supported us by drinking the beer."
