BUSINESSES in the Swaledale village of Reeth will be putting on a day of special day of festive activities on December 7.
From 10am to 4pm, in addition to the usual shops with local crafts, food and hand made goods there will be stalls on the green, singing around the Christmas tree and a chance for younger shoppers to visit Santa’s grotto in the Dales Centre on Silver Street.
Homemade mince pies and hot roast chestnuts will be available as well as refreshments from the village’s tea shops and pubs.
Visitors can pick up a map showing the location of all the open attractions and follow a free quiz trail to win a Christmas hamper.
