A CHARITY fun day in memory of a baby who died after developing breathing and feeding difficulties has raised £1,053 for a charity which supported her family in hospital.
Nick and Sophie Horsburgh said the funds would be used by The Sick Children’s Trust to provide other families with accomodation near where their children are treated, which they benefited from with their daughter, Brooke.
The event at Ripon City Football Club included of a charity football match, barbecue, bouncy castle, raffle and other activities.
The couple said: "We would like to say a huge thank you to all those who came and supported the day and gave so generously to a charity so close to our hearts."
Jane Featherstone, of the trust, said: "It costs us £28 a night to provide a room for a family, so the money raised at Brooke’s family fun day will help over 30 families stay together."
