POLICE have issued a nationwide appeal to trace a man wanted in connection with a sexual assault in North Yorkshire.
Akduss Hussain, 29, is alleged to have assaulted a 27-year-old woman in William Street Coach Park in Scarborough on Christmas Day 2013.
Officers have been making extensive enquiries to locate him since the incident and it is believed that he has left Scarborough and headed to another part of the country.
He is known to use a number of different names including Anwar Choudhary, Layak Choudhary, Rahad Hassain, Rahar Hussain, Rah Hasan Jakira and Hassain Rahad.
He is thought to currently be using the alias Anwar Choudhary.
Officers are appealing to anyone who can help to locate Akduss Hussain to contact them with information.
Anyone who can help should contact North Yorkshire Police on 101 and pass information to the Force Control Room.
Or the information can be passed on anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111, quoting reference number 12130222814 when passing information about Akduss Hussain’s whereabouts.
