RESIDENTS in the Northallerton area have been told to expect new postal delivery times following a review of delivery routes.
Royal Mail said while many properties in the DL6 sectors 1-3, DL7 sectors 0, 8 and 9, and DL8 sectors 1 and 2 postcode areas could expect to receive post before noon, it had extended delivery rounds for a longer period during the day.
A Royal Mail spokesman said it was introducing the new routes to maintain services and keep its prices to a minimum.
He said: “The time customers receive mail will depend on where they live on the new delivery route. This may be later or possibly earlier than current delivery times.
“When mail volumes vary, we may need to adjust delivery arrangements and times.”
