Residents in Aislaby, near Whitby, will have the chance to air their views about an affordable housing proposal for their local area on Wednesday, February 12. A parish housing needs survey carried out in July 2013 showed local people were in need of affordable homes in the area. The proposal is for six affordable homes, including two bungalows. If the proposal has community support, the homes will be built for people with a strong local connection to Aislaby parish. The consultation will take place between midday and 7pm at The Village Hall in Aislaby.
