POLICE are trying to trace the driver of a car involved in a collision in which a 64-year-old pedestrian was injured.
The incident happened at about 7.30am today, February 3, on Cornwall Road, near the Pump Rooms in Harrogate.
The pedestrian suffered cuts to his face and grazed arms and was treated by paramedics near the scene.
The man driving the blue or black car stopped and briefly spoke with the injured man. However, he left the scene without leaving his details. He was in his 50s and had a stocky build.
Traffic Constable Andy Macleod said: “If you are the driver of the vehicle involved in the collision, I urge you to contact the police straight away as I need to speak to you regarding this incident.
“I am also keen to hear from anyone who witnessed the collision and ask them to get in touch as soon as possible.”
