PLAY READING: A reading and discussion of Shakespeare’s As You Like It will take place at St Joseph’s Church Hall on Tanton Road, Stokesley on Saturday, October 19, from 9am until 1pm. People can reserve a place in advance. Anyone without a copy of the play can email eileendriver@hotmail.co.uk in advance. The event will raise money for Wolisso Hospital in Ethiopia.
SOCIAL GROUP TALK: The next meeting of the Stokesley Friendship Group will be on Tuesday, October 8. The guest speaker will be Norman Welch, who will be giving a talk on Richard III, Hero or Villain? The group meets on the second Tuesday of each month at 2pm at Kirkby Hall in Kirkby. The group will also be holding a luncheon on Tuesday, October 22 at the Toby Inn on Marton Road.
