THE LANCE Corporal Ben Hyde Memorial Trust will mark its tenth anniversary this month.
The charitable trust was set up by the father of Lance Corporal Ben Hyde, a military policeman who died in Iraq.
The 23-year-old, from Northallerton, was one of six Red Caps killed when the police station they were guarding was stormed by a mob in 2003. Since the charity was set up, it has raised about £100,000 for charity.
It will mark its tenth anniversary on June 22 with an anniversary dinner. Guest speaker will be editor of the Darlington & Stockton Times, Malcolm Warne.
Also speaking will be at least 20 members of the 150 Provost Company Royal Military Police, from Catterick, along with retired Brigadier Ray Bell, chairman of the Royal Military Police Association. Dignitaries including the chairman of North Yorkshire County Council, Councillor Bernard Bateman will also be attending.
