NEW STATION: Work is now underway on a new city centre fire station for York at the former Kent Street car and coach park. It will replace the old station in Clifford Street which is now regarded as no longer suitable.
EDIBLE YORK: Four new raised fruit and vegetable beds have been installed opposite Fishergate Bar in York as part of the Edible York project which began in 2010 when two community vegetable beds were created next to the Barbican. For more information visit edibleyork.org.uk
