TRIBUTES have been paid to Drummer Lee Rigby by Veterans of 1st and 2nd Battalion of The Royal Regiment of Fusiliers in Richmond.
Corporal Anthony Pass led the group of veterans in laying a wreath for the soldier who was last week murdered in Woolwich, London, at the war memorial in the Friary Gardens, Richmond, on Wednesday (May 29).
Cpl Pass said he and the other veterans wanted to pay tribute to the 25-year-old father-of-one, and to raise awareness of The Royal Regiment of Fusiliers Aid Society, which helps serving or former members of the regiment, including widows and children, who have fallen on hard times.
The society also helps Fusiliers and their families who are bereaved, wounded or ill, and will be supporting the family of Drummer Rigby.
