CAKES GALORE: More than 70 cakes were entered into the first-ever Easingwold Bake Off, held in the town’s market place in aid of the local Forget Me Not Club. The event raised more than £1,000 to help the club, which provides day-care provision for people with dementia and their carers.
PROMS NIGHT: The annual Proms Spectacular at Castle Howard, combining musical entertainment with a major fireworks show and Spitfire aerobatics, will be held on August 17.
