A free information event for carers is to be held in Harrogate on June 12. The company Home Instead Senior Care, which provides support to older people in their homes, has teamed up with Dementia Forward and Carers’ Resource for the Carers Week event. Prepared to Care will be held at Wesley Chapel, on Oxford Street in Harrogate between 10am and 3pm. It will provide information on the types of local support and advice available to carers, or those who may be a family carer in the future, and answer questions on caring. PLANT SALE: Wensleydale School pupil Nathasha Jauneika will hold an alpine and perennial plant sale at Aysgarth Rock Garden, Aysgarth, on Saturday, June 8, and Sunday, June 9, from 10am to 4pm. The 17-year-old is aiming to raise funds towards a school trip to help orphans in Amola, India.
