POLICE in Northallerton are inviting the local community along to a football fest and family fun day this weekend.
The fun kicks off at 11am on Sunday, May 26, at Alverton primary school, on Mount Road and the main event is a football competition for teenagers.
The day has been organised by ActDivertz, which works in the area to organise events aimed at reducing anti-social behaviour.
Teams who would like to enter the competition can collect a registration form from Connexions on Northallerton’s High Street.
Other events taking place on the day include face-painting, nail art, graffiti boards, a tuck shop, an ActDivertz stall, tombola, parachute games, bouncy castle, giant Jenga, Connect 4 and a buzz wire.
Police Community Support Officer Shane Hardy said: “We’d like to see as many people as possible coming along to this event, which promises to be a great family day.”
