ONE of the initial concerts to kick off Bedale’s first music festival will be a free event at Dales Care the centre for elderly people between 12.30pm and 1.30pm Friday, May 31.
Over the weekend 80 musicians are performing at ten different venues across the town in a huge festival of music.
Tickets are available on the BAMfest website www.bamfest.co.uk, at the festival office at the camp site at Big Sheep Little Cow and at the information desk at Bedale Hall.
There will be eight concerts, featuring stars such as Bob Fox, Dave Kelly, Henry Priestman and The Young’uns and many others. They’re taking place in historic Bedale Hall and The Riverside Club. Music is also on offer at The Green Dragon, White Bear and Three Coopers pubs.
Tickets for the concerts are selling fast and now organisers are urging anyone who wants to see a concert to get their tickets in advance.
Spokesman John Knighton said: “We have several ticket options available, ranging from a full weekend ticket which gives access to all concerts, to individual event tickets. Tickets are available on sale on the door at events, but only if available. We have some wonderful musicians coming to Bedale and we don’t want anyone to miss out.”
