A SCOUT group has organised a fundraising venture for a school in India.

Stokesley’s Barnes Explorer Scout unit is due to send four scouts to India next summer, to help building work on a school 50km south of Delhi, which they have been supporting for a number of years.

The group has been supporting the project for a number of years and raised more than £1,200 this year alone to support it.

On Saturday, June 1, they will host an afternoon tea event in the gardens of Tame Bridge Farm, at Tame Bridge near Stokesley to raise further funds.

The event will also include stalls and garden party activities and will take place between 2pm and 4.30pm.
