A MILITARY charity will be holding a reception and preview of its annual Spring Fair, followed by a charity auction and beating retreat.
ABF The Soldiers’ Charity will be hosting the event on Wednesday, May 22 at Tennants Auction Centre in Leyburn, from 5pm and will feature the Heavy Cavalry and Cambrai Band from Catterick Garrison.
The salute will be taken by Brigadier Robert Bruce, Commander of 4 Mechanised Brigade, based in Catterick, who have just returned from a tour of Afghanistan.
The evening will comprise a reception when guests will have an opportunity to shop at the wide variety of stalls, followed by a charity auction.
There will also be a musical display which will include a number of popular military theme tunes.
Doors open at 5pm, the charity auction begins at 7pm and the musical display will start at around 7.45pm.
