An open gardens event will take place at Stokesley on Saturday, June 8 and Sunday, June 9 to raise money for Teesside Hospice. The event will run from 1pm until 5pm. Purchase of a £5 program is necessary to take part. The booklets will be available from Teesside Hospice's charity shop in Stokesley, DA Grainge greengrocers and Browns newsagents and will be sold from a stall on the High Street during the weekend. Accompanied children are free. Cakes, seedlings and cuttings will be on sale.
LOCAL HISTORY: The next meeting of Stokesley Local History Study Group is on Monday, May 20, 1.30pm to 3pm in the Community Care meeting room, above Stokesley Library. Anyone with queries about Stokesley's history, or with knowledge to share, is invited to the informal meeting. Contact the secretary for further information on 01642-711875.
