A COMMUNITY hopes to deal with its rubbish by staging a two-hour blitz on litter.
Leeming Bar Residents’ Association is staging a litter pick from 11am on Sunday, May 19.
It intends to cover the whole village and says it will take up no more than two hours of anybody’s time for those who wish to volunteer. All equipment will be provided by Hambleton District Council and distributed from Leeming Bar Play Area.
Volunteers can turn up on the day or sign up by emailing Richard Moore on; moorecraft@tesco.net
Volunteers are advised to wear stout shoes and children are welcome, but must be accompanied by an adult. It will be followed by a drink in the village.
