RECENT cases heard at Northallerton Magistrates’ Court include: James Fowler, 32, of High Street, Northallerton, admitted to stealing a box of Baileys to the value of £90 from WM Morrisons supermarket in Northallerton. He was fined £65 with a £20 victim surcharge and £45 costs.

Frank Foy Lowther, 41, of Long Street, Thirsk, admitted to using threatening or abusive words or behaviour towards Joseph Francis Lowther. He was ordered to carry out 80 hours of unpaid work in the next 12 months, pay £60 victim surcharge and £85 costs, as well as an additional 40 hours unpaid work added because he offending during a suspended sentence.

Tyler Jinks, 21, of Olav Road, Richmond, admitted to beating Dylan James Lee. He was ordered to carry out 200 hours of unpaid work in the next 12 months, pay £1,500 compensation, plus a £60 victim surcharge and £85 costs.

Peter John Glasby, 24, of Scotton Gardens, Catterick Garrison, admitted to fishing at Woodlands Lake, Carlton Miniott, without a licence. He was fined £90, plus a £15 victim surcharge and £120 costs.

Joe Hudson, 21, of Hambleton Close, Thirsk, dropped a bottle of Stella lager and left it in Thirsk High Street. He was fined £60, plus a £20 victim surcharge and £85 costs.
