A charity fair in Bedale organised by Emergency Animal Rescue Support raised over £1,200.
The event held in the Chantry Hall in Bedale was opened by the town’s Mayor Amanda Coates.
Honoured guest was five-year-old Fraja Ellie Simpson from Leeming who has a rare form of cancer, a neuroblastoma tumour.
Her parents have launched an appeal to raise £500,000 for treatment in America to cut the chance of the youngster suffering a relapse after she undergoes a major operation to remove the tumour.
Organisers of the fair made a donation to the appeal. Emergency Animal Rescue Support is dedicated to rescuing and rehoming animals in north Yorkshire to save them from being put to sleep.
