INFORMATION POINT: Temporary replacements for Richmond’s recently closed Tourist Information Centre will be set up in time for the Easter weekend.

Information points will be opened at the Station, the Georgian Theatre Royal and Richmond Castle for tourists to get information about events and activities.

There will be signs placed in the old TIC to inform visitors.

Richmondshire District Council hopes to get a permanent replacement for the TIC as soon as possible, and Richmond Town Council is also working with local businesses to find a solution.

ALEXANDER TECHNIQUE: Workshops for people with back, neck and joint pain will take place at the Station, Richmond, on Saturday, April 13 and in St Mary's Parish Hall in Barnard Castle on Saturday, April 20.

Director of Dolphin Alexander Courses Gail Barlow will be giving introductory courses in Alexander Technique for people with problems with their backs and necks relating to activity, stress or posture. Workshops last three hours and cost £30. Booking is essential.

Ms Barlow is also running private clinic sessions in Richmond and Northallerton,  giving personalised tuition.  For further information about the technique or courses visit www.dolphinalexander.com or call 01748-823323.
