REFUSE and recycling collections missed in Swaledale and Arkengarthdale on Friday, March 23, have stil not been collected because drifting snow is making conditions unsafe.
However, an assessment of the conditions was made yesterday (Monday, March 25) with a view to collect today. (Tuesday, March 26)
The affected areas are : Angram, Blades, Satronside, Low Whita, Crackpot, Summer Lodge, Eskeleth, Bouldershaw lane, West Stonesdale, Gunnerside, High Fremington, Ravenseat, Arkle Town, Healaugh back lane, Downholme Village, Stainton Village, Green Lane Husdwell, Back Lane and Mill Lane Reeth, and outlying areas in Marske and Marrick.
Garden waste and recycling from some areas in Lower Wensleydale were also missed on Friday - where bags and boxes have not been collected, residents are advised to place the excess glass, cans, paper and plastic bottles out on their next collection day or take it to their nearest bring to site.
