A FARM is opening its doors to children for a special Easter egg hunt at the end of this month, to raise money for abandoned pets.

Treetops, at Helmersdale Farm at Crosby near Northallerton has organised an afternoon of Easter activities to take place on Friday, March 29.

There will be a hunt for Easter eggs around the farm, races, competitions for the best egg basket and other crafts activities on offer.

The event is to raise funds for the Blue Cross animal charity near Thirsk and the charity is bringing in some animals for children to see.

Anyone wanting to take part is advised to come in old clothing and boots. Admission is a donation to Blue Cross.
