A WELL-KNOWN pub is under new ownership – and the landlords have already found their rabbit pie to be a hit with pub-goers.
Jon and Claire Foster have taken over helm at the Green Dragon in Exelby near Bedale.
The husband and wife team formerly ran the Beeswing Inn at East Cowton, where they were landlords for three years, before moving to the Green Dragon at the beginning of February.
Mrs Foster said: “We’ve changed the menu. Everything is now homemade, right down to the biscuits and rabbit pie, which is one of our customers’ favourites.
“I’m from Bedale, I used to go to Bedale High School and John is from Leyburn, so this is like returning home for us.”
The couple are planning to refurbish the pub at some point in the future.
